Madhabkunda – a Calm and Cool Waterfall

However, Bangladesh is the country of green and natural beauty. Its natural beauty has many features. These features included with many exciting waterfalls. Among all of those Madhabkunda is one of the foremost beautiful and attractive waterfalls of Bangladesh. This Waterfall and Eco Park situated in Barlekha Upazila in the District of the Sylhet Division. The waterfall may be a popular tourist spot in Bangladesh. Big boulders, surrounding forest, and therefore the adjoining streams attract many tourists for picnic parties and day trips.

The 267 hectors Madhabkunda Eco Park (est. 2001) is found at Madhabkunda under Moulvibazar District. This area declared as Eco Park with a view to conserve this waterfall and surrounding biodiversity. The Madhabkunda Waterfall is the most engaging site of this Eco Park which is about 200 ft. (61 m) high. a neighborhood of ‘Khasia’ tribe lives within the forest villages of this area. they’re engaged in some agro-economic activities within the forestland.

How to Go

It is 80 km far away from the main Sylhet town. you’ll attend Madhabkunda by train, bus or private transportation. For the train, the closest station is Kulaura. After arriving at Kulaura, CNG or car are often hired (BDT 400-1000) to travel to Madhabkunda. the space of Madhabkunda is 6-7 km from Barlekha Upazila. For the bus, it’s suggested to travel to Moulvibazar or Barlekha then take buses to Madhabkunda. There are several bus services available from Dhaka. there’s a BDT 20 entry fee to the Eco Park and waterfall.

About Journey

Though It is about one hour journey by microbus from Kulaura rail station to Madhabkunda. it’s an exotic journey to Madhabkunda. you’ll see the green great thing about a garden, the hills and therefore the zigzag road through the hills on the way which can increase the interest of your journey. you’ll see the good waterfall in Madhabkunda–million plenty of waterfalls from 200 feet height. Big bolder of stones and therefore the black stones in giving the shape of care in Madhabkundu.

How To Reach Moulvibazar

Finally, You can reach to Moulvibazar from Dhaka only via bus or any rider directly. If you wanted to travel by train, you can need to get off at Sreemangal station. Then you need to take a local bus or CNG or bike to reach Moulvibazar. In case, you would like to fly to the point, you have to reach Sylhet first, then you can take a direct bus to Moulvibazar.
